Plans in for Barnet leisure and housing scheme

Following the purchase of the site, Regal has submitted a planning application for the redevelopment of Great North Leisure Park in the London Borough of Barnet.

The project will transform more than 11 acres of brownfield land into a new vibrant, sustainable neighbourhood. It will include housing, flexible commercial space and a leisure centre with three swimming pools.

Regal Planning Director, Steve Harrington, said: “Our plans for Great North Leisure Park represent a bold reimagining of a neglected site, unlocking its potential to become a vibrant destination for sports, leisure and healthy living.

“Currently, the area is dominated by cars, so it feels unwelcoming and inaccessible to pedestrians. Our proposals will create a new neighbourhood delivering new homes, a leisure centre and public spaces, truly putting the area on the map.”
