Fire service upgrade for Hereford
Work is underway on a new fire station in Hereford, forming part of a programme to improve services in the town and the surrounding area.
Designed by Bond Bryan Architects on behalf of Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, main contractor for the project is Speller Metcalfe.
Being built on the site of the town’s old fire station, the new four-storey facility will accommodate four vehicle bays as well as sustainable features such as rooftop solar panels.
Mark Hudgeon, Divisional Director at Speller Metcalfe said: “We are proud to be working on this important project for Hereford. The new station will not only provide firefighters with modern, efficient facilities, but also ensure that the local community continues to receive the highest standard of emergency services.”
The project is being delivered under the PAGABO framework and is due to be completed in early 2027.
