Contractor named for landmark Bolton logistics scheme
VolkerFitzpatrick has been appointed by Arrow Capital Partners to construct a landmark 99,669m2 speculative logistics development in Bolton.
Known as Arrow Point Bolton, the development, which received planning permission in January 2025, will comprise two high-specification logistics units of 32,766m2 and 67,132m2.
Close to Junction 6 of the M61, the site is said to offer exceptional connectivity to the M60, M6, and M62 motorways, as well as direct access to Manchester International Airport and the Port of Liverpool.
The scheme, which is aiming for a BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ certification and an EPC ‘A’ rating, will feature rooftop photovoltaic panels, EV charging points, a 4.5 MVA power supply, 82 HGV trailer bays, 32 dock levellers, and five-level access doors.
VolkerFitzpatrick Operations Director Andrew Stoney, said: “We’re proud to have been appointed by Arrow Capital Partners to deliver the construction of Arrow Point Bolton. This is a key development in one of the UK’s emerging strategic locations for logistics.
“With sustainability and connectivity at its core, this scheme is a perfect example of the kind of future-focused projects we’re passionate about delivering.”
Lawrence Harkness, Head of Development, Europe at Arrow Capital Partners, added: “We’re excited to move forward with VolkerFitzpatrick, an experienced logistics contractor whom we have worked with on previous developments, to bring the build phase to life. With occupier demand remaining robust, we’re looking forward to bringing this prime asset to market.”
Both units are scheduled for completion in the first half of 2026 and will be available for immediate occupation.
