Both contain the partial factors and other national determined parameters to be used for structures constructed in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>The competition briefs for the <strong>2008\/09 Corus Student Design Awards<\/strong> are now available from www.steel-sci.org. All undergraduates are eligible and there is a \u00a35,000 prize for both the bridges and structures competition.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SCI<\/strong> will be hosting a conference for UK engineering academics on December 11\/12 at the University of Birmingham Conference Park. It contains functions to calculate c for flexural buckling clt for lateral torsional buckling.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>American Institute of Steel Construction<\/strong> (AISC), the BCSA\u2019s North American sister organisation, will hold its annual construction conference and exhibition in Phoenix, Arizona from April 1-4 2009.
