As part of the UK government&#8217;s strategy to meet climate and clean energy targets, the project will play a crucial role in enhancing UK energy security and once completed it will have up to 231 offshore wind turbines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Working alongside strategic key contractor, Hutchinson Engineering, Severfield will <a href=\"https:\/\/steelconstruction.info\/Steel_manufacture\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">manufacture<\/a> boat landings and ladders, anode cages, and supported internal platforms (SIPs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To manage production, the company is setting up a bespoke, temporary final assembly facility in Teesside. This will be used for the final assembly, electrical fit-out, and Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of the SIPs before they are stored and shipped offshore for installation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Marc Adams, Lead Supply Chain Development Manager, \u00d8rsted, said: \u201cAs the global offshore wind industry continues to grow, the importance of showcasing opportunities to competitive and capable UK suppliers is ever more important.
