Non-league Sheffield FC<\/strong>, widely regarded as the world\u2019s oldest football club, and Sheffield Eagles<\/strong>, the city\u2019s professional rugby league club, have unveiled detailed plans for an innovative new 5,000-seater stadium<\/a>. Located at the former Sheffield Transport Sports Club site at Meadowhead, it will also include a cricket pavilion, football museum and an indoor community sports hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tungsten Properties has awarded McLaren Construction<\/strong> the \u00a341M contract for Centurion Park, an industrial<\/a> and logistics development in Colchester, Essex. Designed for light industrial, general industrial, storage and distribution uses. It will provide 11 units within 10 buildings, with a total floor area of 33,212m2<\/sup>. On completion, the project will target BREEAM \u2018Excellent\u2019<\/a> and EPC A+ ratings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Morgan Sindall Construction<\/strong>\u2019s North West team has been appointed on behalf of Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council to design and build a new \u00a312M 450-space multi-storey car park<\/a>. Forming part of a much wider regeneration scheme, the steel-framed structure will have five levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GMI Construction <\/strong>is set to build the luxury 118- room boutique Dakota hotel<\/a>, which will transform the vacant St Anne\u2019s Wharf building in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Scheduled for completion in Spring 2025, the development will generate 150 new jobs as well as creating an estimated \u00a31.5M boost to the local economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Construction work to deliver a new flexible teaching<\/a> space has begun at the University of Worcester<\/strong>. Located at the Severn Campus, the new three-storey building has been designed by Glancey Nicholls Architects.
