{"id":38623,"date":"2023-09-06T11:48:57","date_gmt":"2023-09-06T11:48:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsteelconstruction.com\/wp\/?p=38623"},"modified":"2023-09-06T11:48:59","modified_gmt":"2023-09-06T11:48:59","slug":"bcsa-to-participate-at-uk-metals-expo-2023-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsteelconstruction.com\/wp\/bcsa-to-participate-at-uk-metals-expo-2023-2\/","title":{"rendered":"BCSA to participate at UK Metals Expo 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsteelconstruction.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/n1.1-MetalsExpoLogo2309.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"250\" height=\"172\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsteelconstruction.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/n1.1-MetalsExpoLogo2309.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-38624\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Representing its membership and promoting the Association, the British Constructional Steelwork Association (BCSA) will have a stand at the UK Metals Expo 2023, which takes place at The NEC, Birmingham on 13-14 September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UK Metals Expo is said to be the only event that brings the entire metals supply chain together with engineering and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Steel_manufacture\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Steel_manufacture\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">manufacturing<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s event will have over 50 seminars on a variety of themes that affect the metals industry, as well as focused sessions specifically related to steel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Construction\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Construction\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">construction<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Thursday 14th, the Technology, Innovation and R&amp;D Theatre will have panel sessions solely focusing on construction. It will include BCSA Sustainability Manager, Michael Sansom, taking part in a discussion entitled <em>Future of Construction: Designing for Deconstruction and Structural Steel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Recycling_and_reuse#Reuse\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Recycling_and_reuse#Reuse\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Reuse<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The discussion will ask attendees the question: \u201cAre you ready to shape the future of construction and drive <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Sustainability\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Sustainability\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sustainability<\/a> across the entire supply chain?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Attendees will be able to discover how architects, clients and stakeholders can navigate challenges and deliver a net zero construction industry. There will also be examples of pioneering projects that shed light on the complexities of deconstructing legacy buildings and maximising material reuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The session will run from 11.30 am to 12.20 pm.
