The new development will see significant improvements to patient experience, with spacious single bedrooms, each with a private en-suite shower room, as well as a variety of indoor activity areas, meeting rooms for family visiting, multiple gardens, spaces for therapeutic artwork and a caf\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IHP, a joint venture between Vinci Construction and Sir Robert McAlpine has been appointed to build the state-of-the art development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IHP and VINCI Building Regional Director, Gary Hughes, said: \u201cWe are delighted to mark what has been achieved so far at North View. We are now looking forward to delivering a first-class centre for GMMH and the local community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leach Structural Steelwork is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Fabrication\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fabricating<\/a>, supplying and erecting 1,100t of steelwork for the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Work on North View started in August 2022 with the new unit anticipated to be built and operational in 2024.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A major milestone has been reached as the erection of the steel frame on Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust\u2019s (GMMH) latest mental health unit has commenced.
