Main contractor Winvic Construction has been appointed by developer Stoford to deliver two industrial warehouses<\/a>, forming the second and final phase of development at Redditch Gateway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Located close to Junction 3 of the M42, the scheme is targeting net zero carbon in operation<\/a> for both buildings, as well as BREEAM<\/a> \u2018Excellent\u2019 and EPC \u2018A\u2019 ratings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Severfield is fabricating<\/a>, supplying and erecting<\/a> the steelwork for both industrial warehouses. One unit is 13,200m\u00b2 with two-storey offices totalling 1,700m2<\/sup>, and the second comprises 23,885m2<\/sup> of warehouse and 2,749m2<\/sup> of three-storey office space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The earthworks programme, to create the development plateaus, has begun and will comprise 108,000m3<\/sup> of cut and fill and the diversion of two courses of Blacksoil brook, which currently cross the site. The foundations will be installed from May and the eight-week steel frame erection programme commences in July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
