These will include the hospitality and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Residential_and_mixed-use_buildings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">residential<\/a> elements of the \u00a31 billion scheme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Working on behalf of main contractor Laing O\u2019Rourke, BHC has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Fabrication\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fabricated<\/a>, supplied and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Construction#Steel_erection\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">erected<\/a>\u00a0 approximately 15,000t of structural steelwork for the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Martin Perry, Project Director, Edinburgh St James, said: \u201cEdinburgh St James is a major new landmark for the city, opening up the East End of Edinburgh and creating a truly inspiring place for people to live, shop and play.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The first phase of the St James Quarter in Edinburgh has opened its doors to the public after five years of construction.
