The facility is expected to generate more than 200 GWh of electricity annually.<\/p>\n<p>The steelwork needed for the project comprises over 800t and consists of framing for a boiler house, turbine hall, fuel storage depot, and a fuel unloading building, along with all associated secondary steel.<\/p>\n<p>BWSC has been awarded a full turnkey build contract as well as a contract to operate and maintain the facility for 15 years.<\/p>\n<p>The plant is scheduled for completion in the second half of 2021.<\/p>\n<p>BWSC has previously built nine biomass-fuelled power facilities in the UK and Caunton Engineering supplied steelwork for six of these projects.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Caunton Engineering has been awarded the contract to fabricate, supply and erect structural steelwork for a new Bio Power facility being constructed by Burmeister &amp; Wain Scandinavian Contractor (BWSC).
