{"id":28377,"date":"2019-05-01T13:41:44","date_gmt":"2019-05-01T13:41:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.newsteelconstruction.com\/wp\/?p=28377"},"modified":"2019-05-01T13:41:44","modified_gmt":"2019-05-01T13:41:44","slug":"approval-given-for-bolton-mixed-use-schemes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsteelconstruction.com\/wp\/approval-given-for-bolton-mixed-use-schemes\/","title":{"rendered":"Approval given for Bolton mixed-use schemes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-28378\" src=\"http:\/\/www.newsteelconstruction.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Bolton190502.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"472\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.newsteelconstruction.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Bolton190502.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.newsteelconstruction.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Bolton190502-300x236.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/>Full planning permission has been granted for two major schemes by Bolton Council\u2019s planning committee.<\/p>\n<p>One mixed-use scheme will include a mixture of apartments and town houses in the Croal Valley part of the town centre, alongside fully equipped gymnasiums, private <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Leisure_buildings#Theatres_and_auditoria\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cinemas<\/a>, residents\u2019 lounges and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Retail_buildings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">retail space<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Croal Valley is one of Bolton Council\u2019s five intervention areas within its \u00a31.2bn town centre master plan.<\/p>\n<p>Managing Director of Forshaw, Lyndon Forshaw, said: \u201cI am very pleased with the outcome. It will provide much needed new homes for people in Bolton and further afield.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis project will set a new benchmark for high quality <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Residential_and_mixed-use_buildings\">residential schemes<\/a> in Bolton town centre.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe location of our scheme is an important gateway to the town which has been derelict for years and we are aiming to start work towards the end of the year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Councillors have also approved plans for a \u00a3150M neighbourhood in Church Wharf, which forms another piece in Bolton\u2019s master plan.<\/p>\n<p>A Bolton Council spokesperson said: \u201cThis is another piece in our planning jigsaw slotting into place.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis scheme \u2013 like Church Wharf &#8211; will rejuvenate a key gateway into the town centre, which needs significant regeneration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt will also bring much needed housing to a brownfield site in the heart of Bolton, bringing more people into our town and creating jobs which will help the local economy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt demonstrates yet more investor confidence in our vision and strategy.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Full planning permission has been granted for two major schemes by Bolton Council\u2019s planning committee.
