It is adjacent to Altrincham\u2019s Transport Interchange and connects the established residential areas to the east of the town with the main high street.<\/p>\n<p>Nikal Development Director Darren Jones said: \u201cNegotiating a new contract with a new contractor for a scheme of this scale and significance is not a quick and easy task. It\u2019s also satisfying to be able to appoint a local Altrincham-based business, with a track record in delivering housing, retail and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Leisure_buildings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> leisure schemes<\/a>, to what is an important development in their home town.<\/p>\n<p>Altair One, the first phase residential element within Altair, was brought to market by Nikal\u2019s luxury homebuilding arm, in Summer 2017. Close to 60% of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Residential_and_mixed-use_buildings#Residential_buildings_in_urban_areas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">apartments<\/a> are currently reserved.<\/p>\n<p>Nikal said it has secured planning for 144 one, two and three bedroom apartments, 4,100m\u00b2 of leisure and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Retail_buildings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">retail space<\/a> and 18,500m\u00b2 of Grade A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Multi-storey_office_buildings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">office accommodation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Surrounding the buildings will be a new public realm, while a central boulevard will link the new quarter directly to the Transport Interchange as well as provide an attractive outdoor environment in which residents, workers, shoppers and diners can relax and socialise.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Developer Nikal has appointed locally-based McGoff Construction to deliver enabling works for the multi-million-pound Altair mixed-use scheme in Altrincham, Cheshire.
