{"id":28212,"date":"2019-04-03T14:43:14","date_gmt":"2019-04-03T14:43:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.newsteelconstruction.com\/wp\/?p=28212"},"modified":"2019-04-03T14:43:14","modified_gmt":"2019-04-03T14:43:14","slug":"nottingham-forest-kicks-off-expansion-plans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsteelconstruction.com\/wp\/nottingham-forest-kicks-off-expansion-plans\/","title":{"rendered":"Nottingham Forest kicks off expansion plans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-28219\" src=\"http:\/\/www.newsteelconstruction.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/nNottingham-Forest-1904.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.newsteelconstruction.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/nNottingham-Forest-1904.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.newsteelconstruction.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/nNottingham-Forest-1904-300x150.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/>Championship football club Nottingham Forest has confirmed that, after extensive negotiations with the City Council, its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Leisure_buildings#Stadia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stadium<\/a> will undergo a wholesale redevelopment<\/p>\n<p>The City Ground\u2019s redevelopment will see the creation of a new world-class Peter Taylor Stand and improvements to the Brian Clough and Bridgford Stands.<\/p>\n<p>The new, modern, state-of-the-art structure will see The City Ground\u2019s capacity become the highest in the East Midlands, reaching 38,000 after completion.<\/p>\n<p>The new Peter Taylor Stand will see the introduction of world-class facilities including a museum, a new club shop, range of hospitality lounge options and restaurants, and executive boxes.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, there will be new spacious concourses for general-admission supporters as well as improved facilities for supporters with disabilities and a substantial increase in wheelchair spaces.<\/p>\n<p>The club will now enter a period of consultation and engagement with the relevant supporter groups before making the necessary planning application.<\/p>\n<p>Subject to the relevant consents, the club is hopeful that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Construction\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">building work<\/a> will commence at the end of the 2019-20 season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Championship football club Nottingham Forest has confirmed that, after extensive negotiations with the City Council, its stadium will undergo a wholesale redevelopment The City Ground\u2019s redevelopment will see the creation of a new world-class Peter Taylor Stand and improvements to the Brian Clough and Bridgford Stands.
