For buildings of six-storeys and over, steel\u2019s market share was almost 79%.<\/p>\n<p>Multi-storey public <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Education_buildings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">education buildings<\/a> exhibited a strong preference for steel with a market share of 62.9%, although the overall market eased with a 1.1% fall. The multi-storey public <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Healthcare_buildings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">health buildings<\/a> market suffered a fall of 23%, although steel continued to enjoy a 46% share of the market.<\/p>\n<p>In the conventional single storey non-domestic buildings\u2019 market, which includes public and private health and education buildings, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Retail_buildings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">retail<\/a>, leisure and offices, there was a fall of almost 4%, but steel increased its share to almost 65%.<\/p>\n<p>As usual, steel dominated the other single storey non-domestic buildings market, a sector that includes<a href=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Single_storey_industrial_buildings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> industrial buildings<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Retail_buildings#Distribution_centres\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">distribution centres<\/a> (sheds).
