The 21,000m\u00b2 Unity Square building will become HMRC\u2019s regional hub and will accommodate around 4,000 full-time employees.<\/p>\n<p>Peveril Securities\u2019 MD, Ralph Jones, said: \u201cFor HMRC to choose Nottingham is hugely significant not just for the city, but for everyone who lives and works here.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn addition to this, we also believe that such a significant investment in the city, and provision of an ultra-modern state-of-the-art <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Multi-storey_office_buildings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">office building<\/a> that would be at home in any major city, will be a catalyst for the wider regeneration of the Southside area and will send a strong message to national &amp; regional occupiers that Nottingham is open for business.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nick Sladen added: \u201cModern occupiers now require large floorplates to suit their working practices. As Nottingham\u2019s Grade A office stock is limited and there are no buildings that offer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Multi-storey_office_buildings#Flexibility_and_adaptability\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">large floorplates<\/a>, HMRC considered a purpose-built solution in the city which is why Unity Square is perfectly placed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Unity Square development that sits opposite Nottingham railway station, has been given the planning green light and construction is expected to start later this year.
