{"id":27338,"date":"2018-10-17T08:57:50","date_gmt":"2018-10-17T08:57:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.newsteelconstruction.com\/wp\/?p=27338"},"modified":"2018-10-17T08:57:50","modified_gmt":"2018-10-17T08:57:50","slug":"plans-approved-for-leicester-city-training-complex","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsteelconstruction.com\/wp\/plans-approved-for-leicester-city-training-complex\/","title":{"rendered":"Plans approved for Leicester City training complex"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-27339 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.newsteelconstruction.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Leicester-training181018.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.newsteelconstruction.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Leicester-training181018.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.newsteelconstruction.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Leicester-training181018-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/>Premier League football club Leicester City\u2019s plans to create a new football training ground have been given the go-ahead.<\/p>\n<p>The club has secured planning permission to turn a 185-acre golf and fishing complex off the A46, eight miles north of Leicester, into a \u00a3100M complex where the first team squad will practice.<\/p>\n<p>Despite some local concerns, planning officers at Charnwood Borough Council said the club&#8217;s proposals were acceptable as the complex would be the most advanced in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>The site will contain: a covered show pitch with 499 seats; spectator toilets and an elevated camera platform; 12 full size football pitches; six smaller grass pitches; two goalkeeper areas; five warm-up and technical training areas; a sports hall; hydrotherapy, medical, rehabilitation and dining facilities; 30 bedrooms for the players and management, and 421 parking spaces<\/p>\n<p>It will also have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Education_buildings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">education facilities<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Multi-storey_office_buildings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">offices<\/a>, and be the first sports turf academy in the country to train groundsmen.<\/p>\n<p>A club spokesperson said: \u201cWe welcome the approval of our proposals by the planning committee and the opportunity to deliver on its pledge of a world-class facility befitting Leicestershire\u2019s traditions of sporting excellence.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Premier League football club Leicester City\u2019s plans to create a new football training ground have been given the go-ahead.
