This former coal depot is being restored and converted into a fashionable <a href=\"http:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Retail_buildings\" target=\"_blank\">shopping destination<\/a>, with the addition of a bespoke steel-framed roof structure.<\/p>\n<p>Another London project report is from 160 Old Street, where a 1970s-built office building is being converted into a modern <a href=\"http:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Multi-storey_office_buildings\" target=\"_blank\">commercial scheme<\/a> with addition of new <a href=\"http:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Floor_systems\" target=\"_blank\">steel floors<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In Cumbria, a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Braced_frames\" target=\"_blank\">steel-framed<\/a> training complex, including live fire shooting ranges, is being constructed for the Civil Nuclear Constabulary.<\/p>\n<p>The Surrey town of Redhill has ambitious redevelopment plans. The initial phase of this programme is the Warwick Quadrant project, which includes a new Sainsbury\u2019s store, a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Car_parks\" target=\"_blank\">car park<\/a> and a Travelodge <a href=\"http:\/\/www.steelconstruction.info\/Residential_and_mixed-use_buildings#Hotels\" target=\"_blank\">hotel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Covering a distance of 58km the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route\/Balmedie to Tipperty (AWPR\/B-T) is the longest road building project currently under way in the UK.
