A wide public concourse, with a full height glazed fa\u00e7ade, allows sufficient circulation space as well as waiting and seating areas for individual stands.<\/p>\n<p>While construction work is being carried out, the existing bus station will remain fully functioning and existing bus routes and stops are not expected to change.<\/p>\n<p>Cllr Paul James, leader of Gloucester City Council and cabinet member for regeneration, said: &#8220;I&#8217;m very excited to start the work on the new bus station and am really pleased with the progress we&#8217;ve made already.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Construction work is underway on a new bus station for Gloucester, a project that will act as a catalyst for the planned city centre regeneration project.
