St. Modwen’s largest-ever speculative warehouse reaches completion

Developer St. Modwen has delivered a 30,000m² warehouse unit in Tamworth, West Midlands, a key milestone in its industrial and logistics growth plans and the largest speculative unit the company has ever built.

The space is available in the steel-framed building for immediate occupation and follows the recent completion of three other speculative warehouse units at the development.

Known as St. Modwen Park Tamworth, the site is said to offer good access to Junction 10 of the M42, and once the entire development is completed it could create up to 1,700 new jobs.

The latest unit has a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating, while the inclusion of solar panels allows the warehouse to be operationally carbon neutral. Additionally, the unit features Grade A office accommodation with good fibre connectivity.

Gregg Titley, Development Director at St. Modwen Industrial & Logistics, said: “2019 was a landmark year for St. Modwen with the creation of our dedicated Industrial & Logistics business unit. The completion of this unit was therefore key in driving forward our growth plans. Now that the unit has been delivered, we can look forward to welcoming a leading occupier who is ready to take advantage of the site’s wide range of additional benefits.”

Severfield fabricated, supplied and erected the steelwork the project.
