November/December issue of New Steel Construction out now

The November/December issue of New Steel Construction (NSC) is now available in both digital and print formats that will be arriving in the post this week.

Anyone who does not receive the print magazine and would like a free subscription (UK and Ireland only) should visit www.steelconstruction.info while readers who prefer the digital offering of NSC can find it at www.newsteelconstruction.com

This issue’s cover story features the City of London’s tallest building, Twentytwo at 22 Bishopsgate. Eventually topping out at 62-storeys, the steel-framed structure will on completion be western Europe’s second tallest tower.

Continuing the high-rise theme, NSC also reports on the Fairfax Street Student Accommodation project in Coventry. The scheme consists of four blocks, with the tallest two reaching 23 and 21 storeys high respectively and thereby claiming the accolades for the city’s two highest buildings.

An economically-designed steel-framed leisure centre is set to provide the local community in Bradford with modern sporting facilities on a site that was previously unusable for much of the year because of poor drainage.

Due to open in March 2019, the University of Warwick’s new sports hub will be one of the foremost sports facilities at a UK educational establishment.

A standardised steel-framed solution is helping a school project in Hartlepool to take shape quickly and efficiently.

NSC also features, as usual, industry news, a technical article and advisory desk from the Steel Construction Institute, and Codes and Standards updates.
