Mixed-use scheme planned for Boots Island
Conygar, the AIM quoted property investment and development group has submitted plans to redevelop the Boots Island site in Nottingham.
In a statement accompanying the firm’s annual results, Chief Executive Robert Ware commented: “The site provides a unique opportunity to create a new vibrant district in the centre of a major UK city and we are working closely with Nottingham City Council to deliver this exciting project.
“We expect the application to consist of a mixed-use scheme of over two million square feet which will include apartments, student housing, offices, leisure uses and associated community retail offering along with open public spaces.”
The site was formerly Boots, the Chemists’ headquarters and laboratories and has been vacant for twenty years.
