March issue of New Steel Construction out now

Posted on by in Weekly News

The March issue of New Steel Construction (NSC) is now available in both digital and print formats that will be arriving in the post this week.

Anyone who does not receive the print magazine and would like a free subscription (UK and Ireland only) should visit www.steelconstruction.info while readers who prefer the digital offering of NSC can find it at: www.newsteelconstruction.com

March’s cover story is the Post Building, a former Royal Mail sorting office which is being reconfigured into new mixed-use development that incorporates three-levels of retained steelwork.

A steel-framed high school is the first major project to be built in a new 800-acre village on the outskirts of Perth. Known as Bertha Park, the scheme will include 3,000 homes, offices, shops and restaurants.

The £36M Coventry Water Park and Leisure Pool is quickly taking shape and will provide the city with a new landmark destination, which will also act as a catalyst for further regeneration.

Eastbourne town centre will soon have a new steel-framed shopping centre and cinema. Known as The Beacon, the nautical themed name is a nod to the town’s coastal history and the nearby Beachy Head Lighthouse.

Forming one of the initial elements of the University of Central Lancashire’s £230M campus master plan, a steel-framed Engineering Innovation Centre is being constructed in Preston.

Also in this issue, NSC features a Steel for Life Headline Sponsor article on ArcelorMittal, a sector focus on steel stockholders, as well as the usual, industry news, technical article and advisory desk from the Steel Construction Institute, and codes and standards updates.
