Anyone who does not already receive the print magazine and would like to subscribe should visit: www.steelconstruction.info while readers who prefer the digital offering of NSC, this is available at: www.newsteelconstruction.com

The current issue’s cover feature is 4 Kingdom Street in Paddington, west London. This prestigious steel-framed commercial development is one of the final elements of the 11-acre Paddington Central mixed-use scheme.

Steel for Life takes centre stage in NSC with a Headline Sponsor piece on Jamestown, a company that has developed over the last 20 years into a specialist fabricator, and two Sector Focus articles investigating the current state of play in the protective coatings industry and steel stockholding.

The centrepiece of the Green Port Hull vision, which seeks to establish the city as a world-class centre for renewable energy, is the Siemens wind turbine blade factory. Steel construction has created the numerous large open column-free spaces that are required for the manufacturing process.

The Sussex town of Haywards Heath is undergoing regeneration, which is centred around its railway station. A large steel-framed Waitrose store and car park represent the biggest elements of the multi-million pound scheme.

Cleveland Bridge is erecting a total of eight steel composite bridges as part of the A1 upgrade in North Yorkshire, while steel construction and offsite fabrication are playing crucial roles in delivering a North Wales school.

NSC also features as usual a technical article and advisory desk from the Steel Construction Institute, industry news, and codes and standards updates.
